The Subaru BRZ was one of the most anticipated cars to come out in the past year. It was developed with Toyota, who sells the near-same FR-S (under the Scion brand) in the US, too. Too start off, the car is great in most ways. Firstly, the exterior is very good. The front end is aggressive, but still tasteful. The rear also looks very good, and maintains the aggressive look. Inside, the interior is what you would excpect from a 20-30k sports car. It is driver-focused, but still is comfortable enough. Next, the engine is flat-four producing 200 horsepower. The HP may not seem like alot, and bescause, well, its not. However, if you want horsepower, then get a V8 pony car for a little more. This car is about handling and driving enjoyment, neither of which requires much horsepower. The BRZ really excells in driving enjoyment, and is possible the most fun car to drive in its price range (along with its sister-the FR-S). Its main competitor is the MX-5 Miata. The Miata comes in a convertible only, which is a plus for some, but not so good for others. The BRZ is more fun to drive than the Miata if you do not care about having an open-air experience. It is also a little faster. Overall, the BRZ is one of the best looking cars in its price range, along with the most fun to drive, so if you want a fun car for $25k, then the BRZ is your car.
