After an incredible 50 years, the 911 is still one of the benchmark sports cars. Porsche made a special edition to celebrate its fabulous car. Unlike most special editions, this one is more than a new paint job (we are looking at you, Buggati). Porsche used the RWD Carrera S drivetrain and powertrain in the wider Carrera 4 body. That RWD/widebody combination was not previously available. Porsche also throws in the Carrera S Powerkit, to bump HP up to 430. Most of the bleeding-edge driving tech is included, including PASM and the Sport Chrono package (it would take a long time to explain what those are, so we will just sum it up and say it makes the car faster). The car also gets retro-style wheels. Inside the cabin, there are gorgeous vintage style seats (14- or 18-way power-adjustable seats). Since the car was introduced in 1963, Porsche will only be making 1,963 of them. Prices start at $125,000, so it will certainly be a rare and special car. We think that Porsche nailed this one, and really changed things up in order to bring a unique special edition to market.
