The Fiat 500 is a very interesting car. It combines cool, retro styling with a semi-fun to drive experience, but has the price and “smallness” of other sub-compacts. Its closest competitor is the MINI Cooper, which is more expensive, yet is more fun to drive. The specs of the 500 do not seem do good on paper, but reviewers have noted that it feels very nimble. Also, while you could compare it to the MINI Cooper, you could also compare it to the Scion IQ, Smart Fortwo and the Toyota Yaris. When compared to those, the 500 blows them away in driving experience and the styling (both inside and out). The 500 splits the aspects (both good and bad) of the fun to drive MINI Cooper and the boring, yet cheap and practical Yaris and IQ.
